Liana van Woesik, PhD Candidate in the School of the Environment, shares details of a recent writing workshop at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat in Lamington National Park:
"It was a highly productive trip where we dedicated our days to focused pomodoro style writing sessions to make solid progress on our respective projects.
The trip was a valuable opportunity to build connection with existing colleagues and make new friends where we could brainstorm, share, and refine ideas in a likeminded and supportive environment.
Outside of our structured work, we also had the chance to explore the surrounding national park and its breathtaking beauty.

The hikes and time spent in nature were both refreshing and inspiring. From exotic birdwatching, to stunning waterfall hikes, magnificent sunsets, group dinners and campfire singalongs the retreat was a rewarding and memorable experience.
Thank you to the organisers and sponsors—the Centre for Marine Science and the Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation Science—and everyone involved for facilitating this amazing opportunity."
