Volunteer Details:

My name is Jake Todd and I am currently a third year student studying at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. I am pursuing a bachelors of science degree in environmental studies with a concentration on the oceans and marine life, and minoring in marine biology. This semester, semester 1, I am participating in a study abroad program and I will be here at UQ until late June. I am very intersted in all aspects of marine science, but my main interestes are fisheries and fisheries management. But, I am also very interested in corals and reef inhabitants. I would really like to get involved in some sort of research while I am here. I have a good amount of both lab and field experience, as I also work in a marine biology lab back at home in Los Angeles. I am also trained in scientific diving if that is needed. I have taken numerous field courses during my undergraduate years and have experience collecting data in many different ways. I am also certified in CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen.

I am not looking for any type of specific reserach or job, but I am just looking to expand my experiences and find something different than what I am used to in Southern California. I am very easy going with regards to the type of research or labs but I am also a very hard worker and am good at getting jobs done. I could also send my resume if needed and can provide contacts.

Thank you very much for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.
