The Centre for Marine Science offers a world-class environment for postgraduate and postdoctoral research in marine science, with over 50 independent Research Groups encompassing a wide range of disciplines. Creating a vibrant marine science research culture, CMS currently includes over 200 PhD candidates and 50 postdoctoral research scientists from around the world.
CMS also benefits from significant marine and laboratory research infrastructure on its main campus in St Lucia, Brisbane and at its marine field stations, Heron Island Research Station, Moreton Bay Research Station and Low Isle Research Station, the former two which boast advanced wet and dry laboratory and boating facilities.
Research Group Leaders are always interested to hear from motivated and suitable students and researchers that want to develop and further their careers. If you are a particularly interested in a specific research area, group leader or laboratory you can contact any of the Research Group Leaders directly at any time.
