Job Position:
Volunteer work

Hi,

I'm looking for volunteers to come out to Palau (see the attached picture below), anytime from mid-March to early July, to help with my PhD research (coral spawning) and that of a colleague (studying fish feeding dynamics). The work would involve a mixture of field work (snorkeling and diving) and some lab work (tank experiments) depending on when the person comes to Palau. Ideally, we'd like someone with some experience with field work, and obviously a decent amount of diving experience is needed.

It is important to point out that we would need people that are able to fund their own trip - this includes flights to Palau, accommodation, and food in Palau. The food cost isn't too different to other places (and there will be a kitchen available to prepare meals), while the accommodation can be shared with other volunteers to save costs.

If anyone is interested, please feel free to get in touch with me (n.evensen@uq.edu.au) - and we can discuss the trip and logistics in more detail.

Cheers,Nick
